Start a Semi-Electronic Application

Add an account using a semi-electronic application. For this type of application, you complete the application electronically, print out a paper copy or a PDF for the client to sign, then send the signed application to us for processing.

  1. Click Menu in the top left corner > Home > select Add Accounton the right hand side of the page > The Application Type page opens.

  2. Click Semi Electronic Application and press Continue

  3. A pop-up will appear on your screen. Click Proceed to Application

  4. Input the clients Email Address, Username, and Country in which they reside in. Click Create Account to proceed.

  5. Select the type of client account you wish to open and click Start Application.

    This is a general list of accounts that IB Group offers. Certain account types may not be available to you due to local requirements. If you would like to see which account types are available to you, simply enter your location and the account type and we will confirm whether it is offered in your area.

    We offer the ability to apply for certain account types through a single application process. Just enter the account types and you can see whether you can open them at once.

    For account types you can open at once - for instance an individual account and an IRA - you will be able to include both account applications in one package before sending to your client for review and signature. To make things even easier, your client will be able to sign the applications and acknowledge receipt of the relevant disclosures either manually or through DocuSign. We include instructions at the end of the application process.

    The first page of the electronic registration system appears.

  6. Complete the client's contact information and regulatory information.

  7. Continue to Configure Client Fees.

    • Annualized Percentage of Net Liquidation Value

    • Annualized Flat Fee

    • Percentage of P&L

    • Fee Per Trade Unit

    • Invoicing

  8. Complete the Account Inheritance details.

  9. Complete the Limited Supplemental Power of Attorney details.

  10. In the Application Status page you can fund the account, review any pending account information, and submit any supporting documentation for the account.
