Exercise/Lapse Options

Instructions

The Exercise/Lapse Options tool lets you exercise options prior to their expiration date. Follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Click Trade in the top left corner and select Exercise/Lapse Options.
  2. A list of long options positions will populate.
  3. Each position will show an OTM or ITM tag
    • OTM: Out-of-the-money
    • ITM: In-the-money
  4. To exercise an option, select the position from the list.
  5. Input the number of contracts to exercise.
  6. If the option is OTM, select Allow Exercise.
  7. Select Submit.
