Move My Account to a New Advisor

Instructions

Advisor clients have the ability to request to move their accounts from one advisor to another. Please keep in mind the following linking rules:

  • Client and new FA must be the same entity.

  • Client and new FA must be the same Pricing Structure (PRO/LITE).

  • Client cannot have open Money Manager accounts.

  • Client cannot move the account has trading permissions that the FA does not have sufficient trading experience to trade.

  • Client limits on the new FA cannot be exceeded.

  • Moves to FAM and FAMILY OFFICE accounts require review and approval by IB.

To move your account from one advisor to another, please take the steps outlined below.

  1. Click the User menu (head and shoulders icon in the top right corner) > Settings > Account Configuration > Manage Account Linking.

  2. Click Move My Account to a New Advisor and press Continue.

  3. Enter the new advisors Account Number and Account Title.

  4. Sign the new agreement including the Client Agreement, Advisor Agreement, and Designation Change Disclosure.

  5. Press Continue to save these changes.
