The first time you use Wise in Portal, you will be redirected to the Wise website for authorization.
If you do not yet have a Wise account, you will be prompted to create one. An application will be pre-filled with your information, and you will be asked to upload all documents necessary to complete the on-boarding process. After you have linked a Wise account, the Quote screen will appear showing the Source Currency you have selected. You will next need to choose a deposit currency supported by us, then choose either Bank Transfer via Wise or Transfer from Wise Balance.
Bank Transfer via Wise: If you send your deposit to your Wise bank account in a local currency (e.g. RON, BGN, MYR, IDR), Wise can convert and deposit it to your account, in a currency we support. Local currencies are defined by the entity that holds your account.
On the Quote screen, Source Currency will populate with the local currency you selected. You can modify the quantity of the Source Currency to see applicable fees, conversion rate, amount of the Target Currency that will arrive in your account and expected arrival time. Now choose a Target Currency (e.g. USD, EUR). Once confirmed, you will receive the Wise bank account details and further instructions.
Transfer from Wise Balance: You can see the balances in a multi-currency Wise account, and, if the currency is supported, initiate a fund transfer to your account. If the currency is not supported you can convert it to one that is (e.g. EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, HUF, CHF, SGD (not supported for IBIE and IBCE) or NZD (not supported for IBIE, IBCE and IBSG)) and transfer it to your account.
