What are Eurex/KRX Link Products?

Eurex/KRX Link Products allow customers to trade certain daily Eurex futures contracts that physically settle into KRX futures or options on KRX futures positions. Trading of Eurex/KRX Link Products is available during European and North American trading hours. After close of trading on Eurex, any such Eurex/KRX Link Product positions are then replaced (as part of the daily settlement process) with the corresponding underlying product (i.e., KRX options or futures) on the KRX exchange. The daily settlement price of the Eurex/KRX Link product is also the final settlement price and is equivalent to the daily settlement price calculated by KRX for the Eurex/KRX Link Product contacts admitted for trading on KRX on the respective exchange day as of the close of trading on KRX.

What products are being offered?

KOSPI 200 Options & Futures, Mini-KOSPI Futures, and USD/KRW Futures will be available to trade. When trading these products, the underlying will display as "KOSPI 200 - Eurex KRX Link Product" and "USD/KRW - Eurex KRX Link Product", respectively.

What are the symbols for Eurex/KRX Link Products?

Clients can find Eurex/KRX Link Products via their trading platforms using the following symbols:

  • KOSPI 200 - Eurex KRX Link Product: K200.EU

  • Mini KOSPI 200 - Eurex KRX Link Product: K200M.EU

  • USD/KRW - Eurex KRX Link Product: KWY.EU

What are the trading hours for Eurex/KRX Link Products?

Customers may trade Eurex/KRX Link products from CET 10:00 – 21:00 or 11:00* – 21:00 (KST 18:00 – 05:00 or 18:00 – 04:00*).

* During daylight savings time in Europe

What trading permissions are required to trade Eurex/KRX Link Products?

Trading permissions for Futures in Germany are required to trade futures listed on the Eurex exchange.

Please note, US clients must be a Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) or Eligible Contract Participant (ECP) in order to be eligible to trade Eurex/KRX Link Products.
