Exclusions to a Rule
Nullify certain rules in a restriction using Exclusions. If exclusions are applicable to a rule you will see the expandable Exclusions section at the bottom of the Restriction page. The exclusions have been listed below.

Only apply to orders that open or increase positions (Allow closing position orders) - When enabled, orders that close or liquidate positions are allowed, regardless of applied rules.

Only apply to orders for symbols not already in the account (Allow existing position symbol) - When enabled, orders on symbols in which you hold a position will always be allowed, regardless of applied rules.

Only allow checking margin impact of orders - When enabled, the restriction is not applied when checking margin impact of orders via the Order Preview window.

Only apply this restriction if Account has...- When enabled, restriction will only apply for accounts that have the specified properties.

IB Entity (= equal to) (!= not equal to) selected IB entity.

MIFID Category (= equal to) (!= not equal to) Professional

Residence (= equal to) (!= not equal to) selected country of residence.

Only apply this restriction if order is placed from trading platform... - When enabled, restriction will apply only when order is placed from the specified platform. Select the trading platform from the drop-down menu.

Only apply this restriction if order is placed by user type... - When enabled, restriction will apply only when the order is placed by the specified user type. Select the user from the drop-down menu.

Only apply this restriction to order with Investment Type... - When enabled, restriction will apply only to orders with the specified investment type. Select the investment type from the drop-down menu.

Exclude cash and equivalents in calculation of limits - When enabled, cash and cash equivalents are excluded when calculating value limits for restrictions.
