Transfer Login Authentication

Traders using TWS can pass off their login authentication to the IBKR mobile app to trade on the app without going through the log in process.

IBKR Mobile for iPhone, iPad and Android supports Read-Only Access, which allows the app users to view their IBKR account without logging in. Before trading access is granted, the user is required to complete the full account login on their mobile device.

If you are working with TWS and need to leave your desk, you can transfer your account authentication over to IBKR Mobile, which saves you the effort of opening and logging into the app.

To Transfer Login Authentication from TWS to IBKR Mobile

  1. While logged in to TWS, tap the IBKR mobile icon on your mobile device.

  2. A message will appear in the IBKR mobile app stating another session exists. Tap OK.

  3. In TWS, click Transfer Authentication to Mobile Device in the IBKR mobile log in hand-off dialog.

  4. To keep your TWS desktop session logged in, click Disconnect Mobile Device.

  5. You can now trade via IBKR Mobile.
