News Panel
Instructions
The Mosaic News Panel groups all of your news feeds into a single window. Many of the feeds require a paid subscription. If you are not subscribed, you will not see the selection in your news list.

To include a feed in your news panel, please select the "+" icon in the top left corner and select the news you'd like to add.

1 - Click the "+" icon to add news to your panel.

2 - Click the Settings icon to configure filters for the news feeds.

3 - Click a headline to read the full news story.

News & Research allows you to create custom feed views of the news you want to read, in the layout style that you prefer. To view this, please follow the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select News & Research
-
Select the tabs on the left-hand side to view a Daily Overview, Portfolio News, Watchlist News, Read Later, Browse, Manage Subscriptions, and Language Settings.

Custom views let you browse magazine-style, or view headlines for focused skimming. To toggle between views, use the Layout icon on the far right.

Use Advanced Search to find news by Provider, Importance, Source, Asset Class, Article Length (read time), type of media, language, date published and more!

Use Browse criteria to filter news by asset class and topic preference.

Tabbed filters in Portfolio News and Watchlist News feeds let you see just the types of news format you prefer, like traditional breaking news, institutional research, or opinions and commentary.

Company Specific News displays real-time streaming news headlines for the selected company. To view this, please follow the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Company Specific News.

Select the Tab reading "Company News" and enter the ticker symbol of the product you'd like to view.
We include Sentiment and Confidence ranking data from Alexandria Contextual Text Analytics™ Engine (ACTA™) which is shown in the Rank column. The column uses color along with a number to indicate a positive, neutral or negative sentiment and the degree of confidence of the ranking.

Green indicates positive sentiment, and displays a number between 0 and 1, where "1" indicates the highest confidence in the ranking.

Red indicates negative sentiment, and displays a number between -1 and 0, where "-1" indicates the highest confidence in the ranking.
Additionally, many headlines now include the sentiment in the headline after the symbol, for example, "12:13 SS XYZ Positive - Company XYZ Price Target Raised to $120."

Filtered News allows you to view real-time streaming general news that you can filter by subject. You may add Market Signals as part of your integrated news headlines.
To view this, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Filter Feed (by topic/provider).
Note: The Filtered News window cannot be part of a windows group.

Portfolio and Watchlist News allows you to view news for:
-
Companies in your portfolio plus news relating to competitors or those companies.
-
All companies listed in your Watchlists and in the Quote Monitor in TWS, plus news relating to competitors of those companies.
-
A custom-defined list of companies.
To view this, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Portfolio & Watchlist News.

Select which news you'd like to add.
-
Press OK and the news feed will populate in your news panel.

Broad Tape News displays news from all subscribed new wires. To view this, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Broad Tape News.

Today's Top Ten News allows you to view the top ten news stories from Dow Jones, StreetInsider, Reuters, and Refinitiv. To view this, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Today's Top Ten.

Select which Top News you would like to view.
-
Click a top news headline to view the full content.

You may watch live TV from the Bloomberg TV news feed. To do so, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and highlight your curser over Videos
-
Select Bloomberg TV

Click the "play" icon to watch the news.
You may click the "Video" button in the bottom left corner to switch between audio and video.
You may also select the expand icon in the bottom right corner to view a full screened video.

The IBKR Traders' Insight, designed to give traders an edge with daily global market commentary written by traders and industry contributors, is available as a news feed in TWS. Additionally, you can view Traders' Insight videos and content from the IBKR Quant Blog by selecting these features from the list of feeds.
To do so, please take the steps outlined below.

IBKR's data servers continuously scan the markets for irregular price and volume actions and transmit these notifications directly to your TWS in the form of Market Signal alerts. Available market signals include price spikes, irregular volume spikes, new 52 week highs/lows, put/call ratio spikes, trading halts and more.
Market Signals can be integrated into the general news headlines in the Filtered News window, or viewed as a separate feed in the Market Signals window. By default, the Market Signal alert "Gap On Open" is active in the Filtered News window. To view this, please take the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and highlight your curser over News & Research from IBKR

Select Market Signals
-
View the Market Signal news.
Add Market Signals to Filtered News

From the Filtered Feed tab, select the Configure wheel icon in the top right corner of the panel.

Select Settings.
-
Under General News, check off IB Market Signals.

Press Apply and OK to save these changes.

Social Sentiment news headlines are identified by the prefix SS. You can also created a Social Sentiment news tab or floating window. To view this, please follow the steps outlined below.

Click the "+" sign and select Social Sentiment.

If you have not configured the settings for this news page, please select View Settings.

Select the filters you would like to apply.
-
Press Apply and OK to view this filtered news.
